Community Interpretation of Reproductive Justice
Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights
Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights has created a video that describes our framework and work around comprehensive sexuality education. We believe that comp sex ed is more than just a birds-and-the-bees discussion, but really something that requires our entire communities to mobilize around. So in our film, you get to see who are the stakeholders that we involve in comprehensive sexuality education, and you also get to learn how you can get involved with it.
How can YOU use Community Interpretation of Reproductive Justice?
- Show the video to groups that usually advocate for comprehensive sex ed to highlight the value of partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders – particularly unlikely allies.
- Share the video with educational justice and other social justice organizations that you’re allied with – or would like to build relationships with – to demonstrate the importance and the connection of the school community and the community as a whole when it comes to advocating for better sexuality education.
- Use the video to get in the door with education funders or other mainstream funders and help them to understand what organizing at the intersections looks like on the ground!
If your communities are ready to turn their knowledge, passion and power into action, check out Organizing for Policy Change for a step-by-step guide to changing school board policy!

Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights is a Latina organization that serves young Latinas and their families in Denver and Colorado. We exist to organize a sisterhood of Latinas through education and advocacy for reproductive rights and quality healthcare. We believe that all Latinas and their families should have the knowledge, freedom, and power to access a full range of opportunities for the health of their body, mind, and spirit.
